Happy 9th Birthday Talia!!!!!

Talia turned 9 on May 11th. She was so excited for her birthday to come. I made her birthday breakfast request which was German pancakes. Before breakfast she opened her presents from her Grandparents and Aunt Brooke. She asked for money to help save for her DSi. Her early birthday present from us was her ticket to Wicked. Her Grandma LaRae and Grandpa Lee gave her a big check. Aunt Brooke also gave her money. Grandma Eyvon and Grandpa Dave gave her money in a fun way. Check out the pictures. Grandma Eyvon taped LOTS of $1 bills together and rolled them up and put them in a box. The box had a lid that was taped shut and a slit with a piece of paper attached to to the roll of dollar bills. The piece of paper said pull me. When Talia pulled it out came all these dollar bills and she kept pulling and pulling and pulling. She thought it was so cool she took to school to show her teacher and her class. I was a little afraid of her losing it but she brought it home safe and sound.
We went out to dinner for her birthday celebration and she chose Red Lobster. Afterwards we surprised her by going to Best Buy and helping her to buy her DSi. She had been saving since Christmas and was SOOOOO excited to get it. Tucker gave her a DSi game and she picked out Brain Age. I was surprised.

The Friday after her birthday she had 5 of her friends come over for pizza, banana splits and a movie. It was a very fun and low key party. They did make their own pizzas and there were some great pizza chefs at the party. They ate outside in our backyard because the weather was so beautiful. The girls spent a lot of time on the trampoline and played Apples to Apples. Afterwards they had banana splits and watched the Tale of Despereaux. It was a great group of girls and the party was a success. Talia had a wonderful time. We are so grateful to have Talia in our family and she is fantastic. She is loving, obedient, hard working, kind, outgoing, energetic, talented, beautiful and we love very much her.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I cant believe Talia is 9! I still remember when we went to Utah for her blessing. Oh and Sally dont worry I dont know what a DSi is either.

I don't know what a DSi is either...I figure it's a new version of a game boy.
Anyway, I just wanted to say I still remember when I lived with you guys and Talia was only two back then and we were such good buds. I loved spoiling her and taking her to get slurpees, McDonald's, and introducing her to choclate milk...I really taught her a lot of bad eating habits...maybe you should move away before I come or I might start that back up again.

I love the dollar idea. Really cute pictures! Mason really wants a DS too. He keeps spending his money on other stuff though, so It will probably be a long while...

Can you believe that Mason and Talia are 9. I still have the picture from easter when they were almost 1 and they were kissing with an egg in each hand. She is such a cutie. The picture of your house looks great. I love the white trim. it makes the whole thing look so crisp.
