I am so behind in my blogging that I will have to start putting dates on them so I know when it really happened! Memorial Weekend - 2010 One week after we moved into our house my mom and all of my sisters and sister-in-law came to visit for a long weekend. We had been planning the weekend since January. Our house closed later than we had anticipated and so it was crunch time after we moved in. It was so fun to spend four days with my mom and sisters. My sister Stephanie brought her baby boy Liam who was 3 months old. It was fun to meet him and he is soooo cute. I am so glad that everyone was able to come. We spent the weekend shopping, more shopping, going to the beach, visiting my grandparent's homes in Yucaipa, eating, talking, playing in the pool and playing games. Jana found us some great deals at Kohls and we found some great deals at Old Navy and the outlet mall. After a long and eventful drive to the beach it was chilly but fun. A few braved the cold water to boogie board. Talia and Tucker came and the water didn't seem to phase them. That wasn't surprising. They spent part of the time trying to save all of the baby crabs they found in the sand. They also found seashells for their cousins. My mom made all of us cute aprons. She is such a talented seamstress and is always sewing fun things for her family. The weekend went by way too fast and it was sad to see everyone go.
My mom was able to stay for a few more days and it was so good to spend time with her. I hadn't seen her since last November and I had really missed her. We spent those few days shopping more, unpacking, going to Tucker's play at school, going to Talia's and Tucker's swim meet, and enjoying being together. I didn't want my mom to leave but I am so grateful for the time we were able to spend together. I am so grateful for her and all that she does for me and my family. I love her so much.
Thank you to everyone for coming to visit. We need to make this a yearly tradition and I would love to have it at my house again.
