A Grand Week!

Grandpa Lee and Grandma Rae came to visit the week of Valentine's Day.  They stayed for a week and it was so fun to spend time with them.  Valentine's day we went to the San Diego since the kid's didn't have school.  It is an amazing zoo and I can't believe how many animals they have.  Tucker's favorite part of the zoo was the reptile area and Talia's favorite animal at the zoo were the giraffes.  We stayed for most of the day and didn't get to see everything.  It 's a good thing we got year passes. It was fun to spend Valentine's with them and spoil each other.  I made sugar cookies and we ate dinner at In N Out.  Wednesday, Trent and I went out to dinner with a work associate and Grandma and Grandpa babysat for us. Thank you!   They also went to swim practice with us a couple of days and froze.  The weather wasn't real cooperative while they were here. We spent time playing a few games, watching a few movies and Grandma Rae had lots of snuggle time with Talia and Tucker.  Tate snuggled with Grandpa.  Grandpa was Tate's favorite and Grandma Rae was OK with that.  Saturday, the last day they were here, we drove to Ikea and went shopping and then went out to eat dinner at Lucille's.  The week went by way too fast and we hope they come and visit again.  Hopefully next time the weather will be warmer so that we can go to the beach and pier.  We love Grandma and Grandpa time. 

Weekend in the Rain

This post is long overdue.  The last weekend in January I flew to Portland and stayed for 4 days.  It was cold and rainy and I loved it.  It was a business and personal trip.  We are trying to sell our rental house in Tigard and I met with our tenants and realtor.  Luckily I didn't have to spend too much time on house stuff and was able to spend most of my 4 days with family and friends.  I stayed with my sister Stephanie and her family for a couple of days and with my sister-in-law Brooke for the last 2 days.  I enjoyed shopping with Stephanie and playing with my nephew, Liam.  It was great to spend time with her , Michael and Liam. I had a girls night with my dearest friends Debbi, Holly, Liz and Sherrie.  It was so good to see them and be able to spend some time with them and their families.  I went to dinner and shopping at Bridgeport with Brooke.  It was very fun and dinner was delicious.  Afterwards we rented a movie but I fell asleep and missed part of it.  I never do that.  I must have been super tired or the movie was really slow.  I went to church in my old Tigard 1st ward and was able to see so many old friends.  It was so much fun to see everyone and so good to be back.  Brooke had a game with her friends the last night I was there and we had brownies and ice cream.  It was a fun night.  The weekend whent by too fast.  Thanks to everyone who let me stay with them, fed me and spent time with me.  Thanks to Trent who took a day off and took such good care of the kids while I was gone.  I sure do miss Oregon and it was so wonderful to be able to spend a weekend there.  Hopefully I can do it again soon.  I only have a picture of Stephanie and I and a picture with my friends Debbi, Holly and Liz.  Hopefully they won't mind that I am posting the picture on my blog.  I wish I would have taken more pictures.
