My mom came to help out a week and a half after my surgery. It was was fun to have her come and I was feeling pretty good by then so I could enjoy her visit more. We were able to do some bargain shopping which is always fun. She also helped me get ready for my sister, Janet, and her boyfriend, Nick, to come and visit for the weekend. They (Nick and Janet) went to Universal Studios the first day they were here and had a great time. We still haven't been there and I would like to take Talia and Tucker sometime. The next day we (minus Trent) all went to the Wild Animal Safari Park in Escondido. Talia, Tucker and I had memberships and I had 2 free tickets so I let Nick and Janet use them. We had a great time at the park and it was fun to spend time with Nick and Janet and my mom. The highlight of the day was the Cheetah Run as usual. It is just an amazing thing to watch. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting southern California. Sorry to Janet for posting this picture but it is the only one I have from the weekend. I remember Nick taking more pictures. Would he share them with me?
That night when we got back from the Safari Park we barbecued and went in the pool and hot tub. Nick quickly learned not to start a water fight with my kids. They never stop once they start. They take after their dad just a little bit when it comes to water fights. Poor Janet got wetter than she wanted but that is typical with Trent around.
Nick flew home the next day but Janet stayed for a few more days. The 3 of us had lots of fun shopping and eating yummy food. I didn't want them to leave. The visits always go by way too fast. Thanks for coming to visit and thanks for the help mom!! I need to say thank to LaRae who came the previous week to help me out after my surgery. I was feeling good but it was nice to have her there to help out. Thanks!!
