YEAHHHHH! I had to do that because I am finally caught up with my blog and only 2 days behind schedule. Our first day of school came way too soon. The kids went back to school August 11th and none of us were ready for it. The kids were starting at a new school again, Susan B. Anthony Elementary and were a little nervous. This makes three (four for Talia) new schools in the past 3 years and I really hope we are able to stay at this school for more than one year.
I made Talia and Tucker one of their favorite breakfasts, Apple Pancakes and walked them to school the first day. We live less than two blocks from school so they have been walking to and from school by themselves. They love the new freedom and I love that I don't have to drop them off and pick them up from school. Talia started 5th Grade with Mrs. Neugebauer and Tucker was started 3rd Grade with Mrs. Lehman. I would have taken a picture of them in front of their school or in their classrooms but they are too old and cool for that. Both of them came home after school with positive things to say and have enjoyed the school year thus far. They are both making friends and I have been very impressed with the school and their teachers. I have volunteered to be the room parent and PTA liaison for both of their classes and help in their classes so I will be busy. I am excited about it. Happy School Year!

I am glad you caught up and I am impressed, you have been busy. I can't believe how grown up your kids look. Time goes by so fast.
Congrats on getting caught up! I thought it was funny reading about Father's Day now, but now you have it in your blog so you can print it off for your family journal. Can't believe they're already starting school next thing we know it'll be Christmas.
Is your next food blog going to be apples pancakes? That looked good. Talia looked so pretty, how nice to have them just walk to school and home!
Those apple pancakes look delish! Post the recipe. :)
Sounds like you had a fun summer. We had some friends move down near Disneyland and I think how nice that would be to just go there on a day trip whenever you want! Definitely a perk to living in CA.
Okay so Talia is beautiful first of all! And I love Tuckers hair combed like that it looks so cute! And last of all those pancakes look delicious and you should post them on the food blog. Love ya Trina!
Yay for so many posts! I cant believe Talia is already in 5th grade! Hopefully Ill be able to come down for Christmas and see you guys.
Summer is WAY too short. Our kids start this week. Looks like you had a fun summer!
