The Best Surprise Ever!

Last week on Wednesday ynight my husband brought my best friend Debbi, from Oregon, home with him after work. He used his free flyer miles to fly her to California for a visit. It was best surprise ever. I was shocked and cried I was so happy to see her. Now you must agree that my husband is really the most wonderful guy! Trent had also bought us passes to go to a chick flick together and some spa certificates to go and get a facial. We were definitely spoiled. Debbi took a vacation day and had her mom come and stay with her family so she could come visit. Thank you to Debbi's mom and family for sharing her with me for a weekend.

IT WAS SO WONDERFUL TO HAVE HER HERE. I had to go visiting teaching Thursday morning but we went to lunch after and did a little bit of shopping before I had to pick up the kids from school. We spent lots of time making cards while we were home with Talia and Tucker. Debbi went to swimming with the kids and I and exercised with me. (I do an exericse class 3 days a week during Talia's swim practice.) Friday we went to Tucker's assembly at school to hear him sing and then spent the morning at the coolest store. I discovered that there was a Tai Pan store about 20 minutes from Corona. I went to this store in Utah with my mom a couple of years ago and had forgotten how amazing it is. Tucker was going off track and had a minimum day at school which meant he got out at 11:39 a.m. We spent the afternoon making more cards. Friday night Trent took the kids to see The Lightning Thief and Debbi and I went to see a movie also. We watched Dear John and we enjoyed it. It was nice to be able to go to a chick flick with a good friend.

Saturday morning we went and got our facials and it was so relaxing and fun. We have made an offer on a house that is a short sale and are still waiting to hear from the bank. We were able to go and look at the house Saturday afternoon. It is an amazing house at an amazing price but it will definitely take a lot of work to fix up. That is the only kind of house we seem to buy. I just hope that we get the house. After we went and looked at the house Debbi, Tucker and I went to a baptism. One of the girls in my class was getting baptized and I couldn't miss it. After the baptism we went to Cafe Rio for dinner. There are a couple of Cafe Rio's in California. The closest one to us is about 45 mintutes away. It was fun to go and eat there but I discovered that the recipes for the Pork salad I have are just as good! After dinner we rented a movie but never ended up watching it because I had to prepare my Primary lesson and pick up Talia from a birthday party.

Sunday Debbi went to primary with me and it was nice to have another adult to help manage my class. My class are well behaved but it is a big class. After church we played a couple games of Chicken Feet. Trent even joined in. She flew out Sunday at 6:30 and I dind't want her to leave. It was such a great weekend and I had so much fun with her. It was so nice to just to be able to talk to her for so long. She is so kind, thoughtful and sincere and I have missed her terribly since moving to California. It was so good to see her and those 4 days went by too fast. Thanks so much for coming Debbi and thanks a million to Trent for doing this for me. We had to laugh becuase I guess the same day he booked the tickets for Debbi to fly here, was the same day I told him that I wanted to fly a friend here for my birthday present this year.

I love that Trent still surprises you even though you hate surprises. I think that was great and I'm glad you had so much fun.
